I had to do the questions of the topic number 6, and last week number 3.

All of us were toguether preparing the questions and the worst of this week it was that we had to read all the law and all the web pages!!, to know firstly the law and after how to do questions. 

That was a hard week for all the members and I suppose that for all the collegues too!!!.

Journalist

Hey dears! I'm here one more week to tell all the work we have been until now of mind maps. Firstly we divided our work making a play: writing our names in papers and the two topics that we had to talk about. We created two groups: The first group was created by Cristina G, María José and Carmen. The second one was created by Almudena, María, Rosa and me, Cristina F. The first group had to do the mind map of topic 6 while the second one had to do the mind map of topic 3. Once we had created the groups we ate at university as always and then we met in Luis Vives building. We organized what we had to do, understanding all the goals and reading the LMS. At our houses we did our work's part and then we met again. We finished the work and at next day, on monday, we printed the posters. They were so cute! :)

JOURNALIST OF THIS WEEK!

Hello bloggers! This week, I am one of the journalist with my partner Carmen.

This week has been very interesting. In the work of this week, called "What have we learned?” we should explain all the concepts that we have learnt in Organization Subject and to explain this, we have used the moovly’s program. Moovly is a free online platform to easily create animated content like a Pro: animated videos, banners or any other multimedia content.

Before starting with the work, we were a bit worried because we never had used this program.

We started with the work the last Monday (18/03/2014):

First, we were thinking about different ideas to make a creativity video, and we thought in explain all the contents through a beautiful story.

Second, we were watching some tutorials videos about Moovly to learn all of it.

 

 Third, we did a cognitive map with draws and their respective phrases and animations that we were going to use in each slide.

And finally we divided the work, I mean, each member of group made a slide of the cognitive map.

Our story is about eight girls (the members of the group) that they travel to the new and amazing world of Soyer1314 where they know Linda. They learnt a lot of interesting things about education tools and concepts in that world (cartographic projections, TPACK, creative commons license…) and when they return to their world they should teach all their new knowledge to others.

We considered showing in the last slide the phrase “to be continued” because we are sure that this first part of this subject, is only the first step to be a big teachers in the future.

My experience as the journalist!

Well...I am Cristina Gil and I have the Journalist this "week". It hasn´t been exactly a week, they have been two because a lot of exciting and unexpected things had happened to us in these two weeks. 

Anyway, I´m going to explain what we did the first week:

Monday, 3rd March: some of us met in the afternoon and we decided that we were going to do three different advertisements saying "NO" to books, well, text books. So we wrote the dialogue and the ideas each advertisement would have, always defending our own knowledge instead of text books. 

Tuesday, 4th March: our two stars of the week met to practice more or less what they were going to say according to the advertisements we thought of the day before. 

Wednesday, 5th March: we all met in the afternoon and we analized our advertisements properly. After this we start recording our adverts. It was great and very funny because people look at us as if we were weirdows or something strange... it was hilarius! I have to say that it has been the best work we have done so far, well, that´s my opinion anyway.

On Thursday, 6th March our teacher Linda finished the lesson earlier so we could finish some of the advertisements... we only had one left to do. We were very thankful for that.

On Monday, 10th March Mercedes came (@Longdones) to talk to us about text books. We thought she was just going to talk and talk all the time but no way! She was amazing! So so interesting! We weren´t expending her class to be that way... she put on a show and we really enjoyed it! She divided the class in three parts, each one of 40 minutes. In the last part of forty minutes she said to us that we had to find something outside the classroom that was related to text books and education. We also had to say a sentence to define what we wanted to transmit to the class... our phrase was: "Grow learning; Learn to grow". Afterwards we had to go back in the class and all of uf had to say the sentence we had thought of.

On Thursday, 13th March the presentations started... there was not enough time so only two groups we able to expose:

• Common Tutankammon: they did and advert of the high cost of books and the need of having to get second hand books.
• Brain Storming: they told us a story about the different functions of bees and they related them to text books in education. They also made us play a very entertaining game in which we had to relate the bees´functions with reality.
• Hide and Seek: we made three advertisements showing that texts books makes our knowledge decrease. 
• Give me 7: they made a really interesting infography about the disadvantages of text books.
• Step by step: they wanted to explain that text books are ok, what is wrong is the way we use them.
• Teachleaders: in their advert they say that books shouldn´t be compulsory because not everybody can afford them.
• T8T: they want to show us how people manipulate us by text books.
• Little Ants: they made two comics in which children realized that books aren´t as good as people think.
• Educational Rush Hour: the message of their adverts is that we learn better without using text books.

We have really enjoyed your presentations, we hope you have enjoyed our one dear collegues!

I have loved this topic because it is so true... I didn´t know much about the way text books influence people... and I have to say it is absolutely disgusting... I think that when I become a teacher I won´t be using text books... I don´t think is worth it. I think I can teach better than text books!

Hey! We are Rosa and Cristina.F. and this week we have been the journalists of Hide and Seek. It’s amazing because we feel like real journalists of a magazine or a newspaper and we both work well together!! :D

February, Wednesday 19^th

We went to Luis Vives and started watching some videos and other resources of LMS to understand how to do our next presentation. When we read a lot of information we were ready to start. But we had to decide how we would create our project and what topic we would use. Finally we decided that we would talk about mythology. We selected the  information to make our draft to show it to the teacher. We divided our work. Even we divided the work, we talked a little bit about it together.

February, Thursday 20^th

These evening, after the clarifications of our teacher about what to improve of our tasks, we met on “Luis Vives” to continue working. We chose Greek Mythology, concretely the myth of “The Rape of Persephone” where the ancient Greeks explained the seasons. While some of us were working on it, others were working on Creative Common License and How to do a good presentation. The last ones informed to the rest of the group about what they learned, in order to make a fine Slideshow for our exposition.

February, Monday 24^th

We did the expositions of the week. After choosing the order of the presentations, we started with them; our group was the 5^th. While we were watching them, we graded them according to what we have learned about doing good presentations.

Finally, we have to say one more thing: while we were uploading our presentation video we found an interesting video called "Remix Creative Common Videos". It's really surprising because it make us realize that there are a lot of things around us that we don't know.

Working as journalist

Hi bloggers! I'm Carmen and this week I've been one of the journalists of Hide & Seek.

Last Monday was the day of the works expositions so all the members of the different groups and specially the stars where so nervous. Linda told us to divide in different groups and to put in common the information we collected and expose it to the rest of the class. 

The first group was composed by the stars of every group and they had to explain the three different types of porjections: Robinson, Mercator and Azimuthal.

The second one was composed by the facilitators and journalists and we had to define what a “Treasure hunt” is and to explain quickly every group's treasure hunt. 

The third one was integrated by the analysts and they talked about distortions in media. 

The fourth group was composed by the translators.

And, finally, the group five was integrated by the curator-farmers.

Hello everybody,

Here I am again to explain that last friday we were at LUIS VIVES again working from 9:30 in the morning. 
We compared SWEDEN and EGYPT , because even Sweden has 445,000Km2 and Egypt 1000,000, Sweden appears bigger than Egypt.
That was unthoughtable from my point of wiev, because we are in the 21st century, and with all the technology we have nowadays, I couldn´t imagine that this error could happended!!

Thursday­13th­2014

Hello collegues!!:

Today we have reserved a classroom in “LUIS VIVES”, because this morning, in classroom 0.1,

we had not got internet access,

We are working in the “TREASURE HUNT”.

We are a group of 8 people.

We have made 4 groups inside the 8 people group.

Each one have choosen one of the maps projection, ROBINSON, MERCATOR and                       

AZIMUTHAL, and two of us are the journalist and we are describing what we are doing.

Each group is connected to the internet and researching one part of the job.

The two girls who are working with ROBINSON, have told me that the internet research is really

hard, because the topic is difficult to understand, due to you need Geographical knowledge.

The two girls of MERCATOR said that is one of the worst maps projection, but it is often used in

books because of its rectangular shape.

The other two girls who are in AZIMUTHAL said that it is very difficult to find information,

because there are just a few one about AZIMUTHAL.

The maps in azimuthal are round.

Being the journalist in the first practice

I  am María José Gómez Gracia and I will be the journalist of Hide & Seek and the responsible to inform you about all the things that we will realize along the whole week. I hope that you enjoy with this information.

In the first part of the lesson we had to choose five words of a list and illustrate them. Our group have chosen the following words:

• Future
• Learning
• Teaching 
• Indignantly
• Success

Then we had to exchange these drawings with our classmates and try to guess the correct meaning of the other drawings.

Besides, we decided the name of the group: Hide & Seek.

In the second part of the lesson we had divided the roles of each member of the group.

Then we had created a Gmail account for the whole group.

Then we have created a Gmail account for the whole group, and then the Twitter account and the Blog.

After that, we have started with the thick part of the work of the week: we have read the article about TPACK, and we have started thinking of how we are going to make the poster for explaining it to our classmates.

On Friday morning we met at the faculty in order to finish the task. In the poster appeared a computer and inside of it there are three interconnected circles that showed the TPACK Framework and Its knowledge Components which are Technological Knowledge, Content Knowledge and Pedagogical Knowledge and the intersections are: Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Technological Pedagogical Knowledge, Technological Content Knowledge and Pedagogical Content Knowledge.

On Monday, we had to put into practice the topic worked throughout last week (about TPACK). Our stars were so nervous, but finally they did it successfully.

We went group by group looking at their exhibitions. In the next pictures we can see them and their works.

Finally we had to assess each of the works that my colleagues and I had been seeing along the class
